Map/Atlas issues

Not sure if this is a client or server issue.... but there seem to be random zones that the map UI does not com up in... I haven't seen anything about this yet... so I dont doubt it's some stupid simple setting I'm not seeing.

TY

Weren't you playing with disabling certain expansions? If you disable a certain one, then you wind up with maps only in city zones, though I don't know which expansion it is that re-enables them. I found that recently when I was tinkering with my private server in a Kunark-like state.

oh duh... i bet your right

i bet that would also disable other features from the newer expansions.... looks like I may be using zone lockouts then for some of this.

I should probably start doing my testing on a non-admin account

I double checked... I have up to Luclin on... (i haven't tweaked that var yet) and I do have issues with Luclin maps displaying.

perplexing but not critical in the least...

I thought the maps were implemented with LoY, but I could very well be mistaken.

that might explain why it works when it want to...
I didnt start playing EQ till 2005... so for me the good ol' days were DON
as such I'm really fuzzy on what features were enabled when.

Also, in case you haven't already, you might want to make sure to download all of the maps from here:

probably 2nd thing i tried....right after a reboot :)

Sony didn't distribute maps with all zones, only some. Others you have to get yourself as Trevius has demonstrated.
