Angry Wont lt me log in?

I followed ALL the steps in the play guide, and this is what i get
when i try to log in. Ugh!

Code:
  Error: 1010: No host was found!
Check that the file EQHOST.TXT exists in the Everquest directory.
Can someone help?

Thanks! That helped alot. Although I can't do it cause i would have to completely uninstall everquest, then put a fresh copy on. So my dad would have my head if i did that.

Thanks anyway!


I'll have to stick to the single server i have, Shards of Dalaya. :(


How come SoD works but EQEmu doesnt??

If you are playing on SoD with the same directory you were trying to use for EQEmu, that is probably your problem. SoD uses a ton of custom files and is not compatible with the EQEmu servers. You would need a separate install directory to play on EQEmu, and it has to be a fresh (unpatched) install of Titanium or SoF straight from the disks.

The only way is to either install EQ into another directory or uninstall the one you already have installed, delete the entire EQ folder and install it again in the same place. There is no way to back out of the patch that SoD uses with it's custom files and stuff as far as I know.
