This occurs when you are trying to log into everquest? Do you have trouble with any other games or any high end graphics applications not working? Have you had any internet connectivity issues lately?

If this is specific to Everquest then reinstall the game but if it is happening with other applications to you may have other issues. If this happens with multiple games and/or programs then try updating your graphics drivers and direct x version as well as your lan drivers. If nothing else the updated drivers will eliminate that as a possibility.

I have only seen two instances where this occurs, one is with the lan card but if you are able to use the internet then that likely isn't it. The second is with the graphics card and yes you will still be able to see normal things like windows desktop but games generally fail. The gpu failure to reset is often just driver related but it can mean impending hardware failure.

Don't freak out after reading this as there are likely other causes for this same issue.

Hrmm well that is a new one for me. I have never heard of a mouse causing that error before.

If you happen to have another mouse laying around trying using it instead of your current one just to see if the problem will duplicate with different hardware. If it doesn't duplicate then problem solved but if it does duplicate you will know it wasn't your mouse.

This could just be a case of a corrupted config file in Everquest. All games that allow for adjustment of mouse controls within the game must have some sort of ini or control mechanism for it.
